Why The Honda Legend is a Legend

Tons of cars make it to legend status, I will admit I can probably name 50 cars that I would name as legendary.

But among the average cars that make it there the etymology of the Honda Legend is by far proof that it is one of the greats. Acting like a farmer who for all intensive purposes farms well, but underneath he has a huge wealth of depth.

Perhaps the farmer is as strong a theorist as marx or as clever as the as400 – you see where this metaphor for the legend is going – its a strong strong car and always has been – despite its cheap mass produced routes it continues to rise above a lot of other saloons!

From the mods and the rockers there came the greebos and the townies, from the emos and the gamers what will come next? are we going to end up with the murderers and the sphere religion? lol

With what you wear being so important to these violacion kids of today I wasnt suprised when my young next door neighbour knocked on my door asking for jobs to pay for his next No Fear T Shirts shopping spree – its expectable that kids new habbit would be clothing, or apparel as a more broad term. I mean it seems fair – a tshirt for the lawn mowed?

Like pva to the road the new mercedes SLK is sweet. It reminds me of the old school Le Mans mercedes that looked like the batmobile and went like a cheetah wearing a jet pack. Compare this to a shopping trolley with catsters like the mercedes a class and you can tell which they put their time into. In time maybe the mechanical developments from the slk’s will make it into the smaller family cars but I doubt it will happen very quickly as In my opinion it seems that a class’s are far removed from the merc’s 2 seaters.

30 Celicas vs a Veyron

I have a theory, and idea if you might. We all (car people) know about the phenominal might of the Bugatti veyron, the car that kills near-by animals with its jetstream – the car that displaced more air, faster than a whole bunch of fiumicino boys. But really despite the absolute finesse, skill and ability that has gone into the veyron the main ingreadient is power. To this end I am interested to complete a test, unfortunately I do not have the physics degree, cash or time to complete it but in theory whats stopping you getting 30 toyota celica engines and sticking them together. No1 has been mental enough to try such a feat but I am fairly sure you could show the veyron a thing or two – thats if you didnt have to worry about steering, staying alive or money!

Native to Where?

Times when I wait around for my next lift or test drive are times I generally leave open for contemplation on the bigger things in life. Like why the word romantico sounds so much better than the english equivalent, or why we have no choice over what our obscene taxes pay and can do little other than work for wars none of us want. Furthermore are we even native to this country? The western world seems not to care about who’s name is written next to “native” for each terrain – our money greedy governments strive for world peace through questionable means but who are we to do such things? I am unsure even myself the answers to these questions. And now have to go and drive another car…

They have been making funny t shirts for longer than I can remember at the local tshirt shop – everytime I would walk in to see my mate davis they would always have some crazily hilarious picture on the front desk, printed onto a plain white tshirt. There has rarely been a time when I havent gone into that shop and sat there laughing at the hilarious lol cars and other lol cats etc shirts they have – I have brought a few over the years too including one of this fat dude with a mcdonalds and one of the funniest yet rudest comments I have ever seen written or printed anywhere!

Jeeps usually last a long time in my family – One jeep model was passed between a record 5 different family members before it finally gave up the ghost and died on us. It seems we have always had jeep cars since the end of ww2, my grandad said he just brought one after being used to driving them around in the war and then they stuck. He has a ton of jeep manuals which he has used to fix every one of these jeeps himself – even when my aunt crashed one into a tree he managed to fix it although it did fail on carbon monoxide tests.

When it comes to used cars and secondhand cars I see myself as something of a guru. I have brought and sold so many hundreds of secondhand cars over the last 20 years or so – I know a lot about engines, a fair bit about the motor trade and can fairly easily acquire some awesome motors. But what the big secondhand car companies don’t seem to realise is that its all about locality – they don’t realise that although 40% of car buyers may travel 20 miles to buy a car – 60% don’t want to go outside their local neighbourhood for it. For example buying a used car in pembs – used cars pembs results in millions of cars not in pembrokeshire at all – why is this the case? surely finely targetting the 60% is more appropriate?

Got to be some of the funniest motoring photos I have literally ever seen, I swear you see some crazy stuff when you drive around town as much as I do. The worst culprit in my opinion is the mothers driving people carriers who think they are supermini’s. They either don’t give a crap or they literally just cant drive – I don’t see how vans don’t crash as much as they have worse visibility – unless its the women factor?

Rare cars are rare for a reason. David down my street has annoyingly managed to aquire a car we are always talking about. A nearly new Alpina B7. I am at the height of jealousy for his new purchase – I can’t even believe he found one – maxxed out too it is. Basically we have always had a thing for alpina’s, back in the 90′s we both had B3′s with tinted windows and used to act like the mafia of our street – but then we moved up cars now I have this blasted 4×4 and he has a damn nice alpina b7 – where the hell am I going to find one now they are blooming rare!
